Fix Wheel Noise IssuesUpdated 4 months ago

🔍 Problem Description

When riding or pushing the scooter, you may notice:

  • Squeaking or metal rubbing noise
  • Light scraping sound when the wheel spins
  • Noise even when not braking

👉 This issue is usually caused by:

Brake pads being too close to the brake disc, causing friction

🛠️ Solutions

  1. Loosen the caliper mounting bolts using a hex wrench
  2. Hold the brake lever
  3. Tighten the bolts while holding the brake
  4. Release and spin the wheel to test

👉 This will automatically center the brake pads

✅ Method 2: Adjust brake pad clearance

  • Use adjustment screws (if available)
  • Increase the gap slightly

✅ Method 3: Reset pistons

  1. Remove the brake caliper
  2. Gently push the pistons back
  3. Reinstall and test

✅ Method 4: Check brake pad wear

  • If brake pads are worn out
    👉 Replace them (consumable part)

❗ Notes

  • Power off before making adjustments
  • Test brakes at low speed after adjustment
  • Brake pads are consumables and not covered under warranty
  • Avoid touching the brake disc directly
